The homeowner on Wildwood Drive in Oakville was building a new home and had already poured a concrete foundation. During construction, they approached Nebo's Pools with an unconventional question — could the existing 11×29 concrete slab be transformed into a fully functional pool? The vision was clear: turn raw structure into a luxury backyard centrepiece without starting from scratch.
This wasn't a typical pool build. The existing concrete structure was never engineered as a pool shell — it lacked the waterproofing, plumbing rough-ins, and structural reinforcement a pool requires. Our team had to assess the integrity of the existing pour, engineer a solution that would meet pool construction standards, and integrate full plumbing, filtration, and lighting into a structure that wasn't designed for any of it.
The finished product is an 11×29 concrete pool with a premium tiled finish that looks like it was always part of the plan. The build includes a full skimmer and return system, RGB colour-changing LED lights for evening ambiance, and a waterfall feature integrated directly into the deck wall — blending seamlessly with the surrounding hardscape. What started as an unconventional request became one of the most creative builds in our portfolio.
